Eric Hess with team of financial advisors who participated in Capitol Hill Day, 2012 for the Financial Planning Association
Eric
D. Hess, CFP, ChFC has appeared on national network news broadcasts,
has spoken at numerous events on both professional and charitable
levels, and provided expert cost-benefit-analysis
for various news and media publications.
Accolades/Awards:
Mr. Hess spoke as the guest speaker at "Air Force Financial Planning Day at the Pentagon in 2007". He was also presented with an award by the Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Plans and Programs of the United States Air Force.
Mr. Hess served as a pro-bono volunteer in the Wounded Warriors Program at Walter Reed Medical Center from 2005-2007.

Paladin
Registry of Advisors 5 Star Rating
Eric
has received a 5 star Rating by the Paladin Registry of Personal
Financial Advisors. The top level 5 star advisors are chosen based
on a number of factors such as competence from thousands of hours
of education and experience, college degrees, certifications and
professional designations. All 5 star advisors must be independent,
fee-based advisors who are acknowledged fiduciaries. This means
they are held to higher ethical standards than commission salespeople.
In 2005, Eric was selected by the Consumer's Research
Council to be included in the "Guide to America's Best Financial
Planners". The selection process is based on a point system that awards points for education, years of practice, and affiliations with professional associations. No fees, sponsorships, or advertising are accepted from financial planners, CPA's or any financial institution to insure an unbiased selection.
In May of 2006, Eric Hess was also awarded a Partnership
Award by Fairfax County's Public Schools Career and Technical Education
Committee for demonstrating an exemplary willingness to collaborate
in a partnership to enhance the student learning continuum. Eric
founded a program that brings certified financial planners into the
classroom to engage students and challenge them to think about their daily
financial activity. He also has participated as a classroom presenter.
Eric is a board member of the National Capital
Area Chapter of the Financial Planning Association. It is
one of the largest chapters in the country. |
